The PureComfort comforters create a soothing and natural environment for sleep. Your body will relax and your soul will quiet down. Nighttime will truly replenish and regenerate you.
PureComfort comforters are made of 100% fine cotton and they are filled with gray goose down. Thanks to the 800+ fill power the comforters are light, warm, and comfortable.
Gray down: down can vary in color, from white to gray depending on the breed of the bird and the season in which it was harvested. The color of down does not affect its thermal characteristics – a gray down will insulate just as well as a white down of the same size cluster and maturity.
Our PureComfort comforters are made by hand in Hungary using the finest natural materials. The original condition of the goose down is carefully preserved during the manufacturing process: we do not damage or bleach the down so that it doesn’t lose its softness and superior quality. The down is washed with (physically filtered) purified water from our own well.
All PureComfort duvets and comforters are covered in Nomite casing, so they also are ideal for those with allergies. A clean and natural choice.
Throughout the manufacturing process, not only do we take special care of the product, but also the environment. No chemicals are used at any point in the production process thus the environmental impact is minimal.
PureComfort Hungarian Goose Down Comforters are made by our family-owned and operated company and delivered to you with a money-back guarantee. We work closely with our partners, who provide us with an uninterrupted supply of the finest raw materials. Farmers, craftsmen, and distributors – we all work towards a common goal. We want to ensure that you are getting the best sleep possible, and we’ve carefully crafted our PureComfort comforters for that reason.
Hamvay-Láng is committed to delivering you a restful night’s sleep through top-quality Hungarian goose down bedding products.
Fill power tells you about the fullness of the down in your comforter. Down with a high fill power is more lofty, more insulative and recovers its fullness more easily. Good quality down has a higher fill power rating (650-900) and lasts longer. Shake out your comforter every morning to help revive those precious down clusters and keep them working hard for you.
Every bedroom is different and we know that as the temperature increases or decreases, you will want a comforter that keeps you at a comfortable temperature to ensure you get the best night's sleep. A tog is a measurement of insulation. The higher the tog, the warmer the comforter. We offer low tog comforters, which are ideal for warm weather and higher tog comforters that will keep you warm during chilly winter nights.
When those warm summer nights come around, stay cool with our summer comforters(4.5 tog). During those transitional seasons of spring and autumn, you'll want a comforter that is mid-weight or All-season (10.5 tog). When those winter winds blow through and the temperature gets cold, our winter comforters (13.5 tog) will make sure you stay nice and warm when you're snuggled up in bed.
First and foremost, the best thing you can do to care for your goose down comforter and pillow is to get a quality cover to protect it. A duvet cover is a must when it comes to protecting your comforter, as it will help keep it clean and protected from dirt, dust, and body oils. Likewise, a quality pillowcase can help keep your pillow protected from the same dirt, dust, and body oils that can soil it. If your bedding is well protected with a quality cover, washing is only necessary every few years.
If your bedding needs to be freshened up, you can take off the duvet cover or pillowcase and shake it out weekly, or hang it on a line for a while to air out.
If an accident happens and you get a spill on your bedding, you can spot treat the spill with a gentle detergent or cleanser and a small amount of water. If you feel you need to wash your comforter or pillow, do not dry clean it. Dry cleaning is too harsh and abrasive for the delicate down. Instead, you should wash it in a large capacity washer that does not have an agitator. When washing your bedding, it is important to wash it in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent. After the washing process is complete, you should take it out of the washer and gently squeeze any excess water out of your bedding. You can line dry it or put it in a large capacity dryer, taking care that you put it on the lowest setting. It can take a while for your comforter or pillow to dry on a low setting, so you may add some clean towels to the load to help soak up additional moisture as well. Never spin-dry your goose down bedding. We always recommend to rather take your down bedding to your local cleaners and let them know that you are looking to get it professionally laundered, not dry cleaned.
If you need to store your goose down bedding at any time, make sure it is in a well-ventilated area and that it is put in storage while completely dry to avoid mildew. Be sure your pillow or comforter is not compressed, which will damage the down’s loftiness and integrity.
Our zipped storage bag is fantastic for keeping out-of-season comforters, duvets, pillows, and blankets fresh, aired, and dust-free
With the appropriate care outlined above, you can enjoy your investment in high-quality goose down bedding for years to come.
