When it comes to achieving a restful and cozy night's sleep, there's nothing quite like snuggling up under a high-quality goose down comforter. Our queen goose down comforters are available in two types - PureDelight and PureComfort. Both options are designed to provide you with the utmost comfort.

The Unmatched Quality of Hungarian Goose Down

Our PureDelight and PureComfort comforters are filled with premium Hungarian goose down. While the PureDelight comforter is filled with white Hungarian goose down, and the PureComfort comforter is filled with grey Hungarian goose down, rest assured that the color difference has no impact on the functionality or performance of the comforters. Both options provide the same level of excellence in terms of comfort, warmth, and durability.
The down filling boasts an impressive 800+ fill power, ensuring supreme loft and insulation, resulting in a cloud-like bedding experience that wraps you in warmth and coziness throughout the night.

Downproof Sateen Shell

Both the PureDelight and PureComfort comforters feature a 100% sateen cotton shell that is not only incredibly soft to the touch but also downproof. This means that you can rest easy knowing that no down will poke through and disrupt you throughout your night.

A Comforter for Every Season

One of the distinguishing features of our queen-sized comforters is their three warmth types, measured by tog rating. Whether you prefer a warmer, all-season, or cooler comforter, we have the perfect option for you. With tog ratings of 13.5, 10.5, and 4.5, you can select the warmth level that suits your preferences and the season.

Why Hungarian Goose Down?

Hungarian goose down is widely regarded as one of the most luxurious bedding fills available. Compared to regular goose down, it offers:

  • Superior thermal insulation
  • Exceptional softness
  • Greater durability

These qualities are the result of Hungary’s long, cold winters and centuries of goose-breeding heritage. The down clusters are naturally larger and loftier, making Hungarian goose down the premium choice for both comforters and pillows.

Great choice for allergy sufferers

Yes! Goose down bedding is a great option for people with allergies. At Hamvay-Láng:

  • Our down is washed in naturally warm spring water with minimal chemicals.
  • We use Nomite®-certified fabric, ideal for those sensitive to dust mites
  • All bedding is OEKO-TEX® certified, meaning it’s free from harmful substances.

The result: hypoallergenic bedding that is clean, safe, and skin-friendly.

Comforter Guide

PureDelight or PureComfort?

The only difference between the comforters is that the PureDelight (Ultimate) is filled with white down whereas the PureComfort is filled with gray down. Down can vary in color, from white to gray depending on the breed of the bird and the season in which the down is collected. The color of down does not affect its thermal characteristics – a gray down will insulate just as well as a white down of the same size cluster and maturity. Even the cover material is the same: close weave 100% sateen cotton. They're both super lightweight and cloudlike. You'll love either one you choose.

What is Fill Power?

Fill power measures the loft and insulating ability of down. The higher the fill power, the fluffier, warmer, and more durable the comforter. Premium goose down has a fill power between 650 and 900. For best results, fluff your comforter daily to maintain its loft and ensure long-lasting performance.

What Is a Tog Rating, and Which One Should I Choose?

A tog is a unit that measures how well a comforter insulates—essentially, how warm it will keep you. The higher the tog rating, the warmer the comforter. It’s a simple but effective way to choose the right bedding for your needs.

At Hamvay‑Láng, we offer three carefully balanced options:

Summer (4.5 tog) – Light and breathable, perfect for warm climates or hot sleepers.
All-season (10.5 tog) – The most versatile choice, offering year-round comfort in most homes.
Winter (13.5 tog) – Ideal for cold bedrooms or anyone who enjoys a fuller, more enveloping warmth.

Each version is filled with breathable Hungarian goose down, which naturally regulates temperature—so you stay comfortably warm without overheating. Choosing the right tog helps ensure better sleep, no matter the season.

How Do I Care for a Goose Down Comforter?

Protecting your comforter and pillow

First and foremost, the best thing you can do to care for your goose down comforter and pillow is to get a quality cover to protect it. A duvet cover is a must when it comes to protecting your comforter, as it will help keep it clean and protected from dirt, dust, and body oils. Likewise, a quality pillowcase can help keep your pillow protected from the same dirt, dust, and body oils that can soil it. If your bedding is well protected with a quality cover, washing is only necessary every few years.

Shake and air it out

If your bedding needs to be freshened up, you can take off the duvet cover or pillowcase and shake it out weekly, or hang it on a line for a while to air out.

Washing your bedding

First and foremost, always check the care label for specific washing instructions. Hamvay-Láng comforters can be hand-washed only. It is gentle and effective method, reducing the risk of damage associated with machine washing.

In case of minor spills:

  • Spot treat them with a gentle detergent or cleanser mixed with a small amount of water.
  • Avoid bleach and harsh detergents, as they can harm the delicate down filling.
  • Apply the detergent directly to the stain and use a soft cloth or sponge to gently rub it.

When washing the entire comforter or pillow:

  • Prepare a cleaning solution by filling a large basin with lukewarm water and mild detergent. Immerse the comforter or pillow, ensuring even detergent distribution, and soak it for 15-20 minutes.
  • Gently agitate the bedding without vigorous rubbing or twisting
  • Rinse it thoroughly several times with clean, lukewarm water.
  • Remove excess water carefully without wringing to protect the down clusters.
  • Lay the bedding on a clean, dry surface to air dry. Periodically fluff and shake the bedding to prevent clumping and ensure even drying. Make sure the bedding dries completely to remove any lingering odors from the detergent or drying process.

If you're uncertain about washing your down bedding at home, consider consulting a professional dry cleaner experienced in handling down-filled bedding.

Storing your bedding

If you need to store your goose down bedding at any time, make sure it's in a well-ventilated area and that it's put in storage while completely dry to avoid mildew. Be sure your pillow or comforter is not compressed, which will damage the down’s loftiness and integrity.
Our zipped storage bag is fantastic for keeping out-of-season comforters, duvets, pillows, and blankets fresh, aired, and dust-free

With the appropriate care outlined above, you can enjoy your investment in high-quality goose down bedding for years to come.
